I wish I knew what to say to make you feel better, but I've never been away from home longer than a few weeks so I don't know what you are going through.

Dude, I feel ya. I know I'm not as far away from home as you, but I miss Calgary too. It's not as cold here, but I miss everyone enough that I'd be willing to brave the cold. Having had my share of homesickness, I understand, but don't let your brother ruin what could potentially be the time of your life. Get away from him, do some exploring on your own. If it still sucks then come home. That'd be my advice. But dude, do what you have to.
I was actually debating going to U of C for my last year next year, but I think I've decided to tough it out. Easy for me to say though, I'm still in Canada.
