yay holidays!! They are good for re-evaluating ...for some.. I have this major tendency to busy up even the quiet times... Something I'm learning. Even if busy is productive, It becomes counter-productive if your always tired. But yeah..thats my phase of thinking at the moment..until I capture the balance.
Ecclesiastes, the least depressing book in the Bible, puts it so beautifully:
"So I commend the enjoyment of life, because nothing is better for a man under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany him in his work all the days of the life God has given him under the sun." (8:15)
I love that. The Bible in general, and Ecclesiates in particular, is all about getting our perspective right. And I like it how the Scripture says that there is nothing better than enjoying our lot. It's a great thing.
Yeah fully! I love it. In some versions it says 'enjoy the fruit of your labour' which i love, it strikes the perfect balance..it still doesn't say bludge, but if your working take some time out to take pleasure in what you've achieved, done, take some TIME OUT! It makes sense with the whole philosophy of the sabbath hey..God took a day to rest after creating the world, and after each creation he too the time and 'saw that it was good', and he encourages us to do the same.
I loved reading that.. you put everything so beautifully but without it being just for the sake of rhyme.. I cannot thank you enough for everything that you are.. I love you more than anything.. God has worked out so much Nessy.. I am so much happier.. just pray I dont forget to treasure this time for what it is. and not half enjoying it and still counting down the days till I see you.. LOVE YOU God has got plans that will blow you away for your life.. Lissy
