itchy feet
Today around noon I had a moment of melancholy/slight heartbreak that I wasn't in southern France. It was inspired by an abstract painting of a red sand seaside beach. I can not do this with all these other things taking up my time. Enough, ENOUGH. If this waits it will wait until I die, or until I forget what to do.

Emailed the final version of my thesis to my prof a few hours ago. He sent me an email back saying "I look forward to reading this." Somehow that makes me feel even more anxious that I'll disappoint than when I hit "send." I suppose the question of this age is how to balance the self I aspire to be with the self I admired most when I was younger. It's hard to remember anything about that self except what it felt like when I was able to be her. I haven't been in that context for a long time. Clash of terminology
I was taught that cold cannot penetrate anything, what is in fact happening is heat migrating toward the colder object. The ground freezing is the movement of energy from the soil to the relatively colder air. Energy always moves from where there is plenty to where there is less, and cold is an absence of energy. The future freaks me out
So I've been feeling pretty uncertain about what to fill my future with. I feel like there are too many possibilities, and while before this felt really freeing, I seem to have suffered a giant loss of confidence somewhere over the last year because I suddenly don't feel like I'm likely to be accepted into any of them.
