My English prof thought he was pretty smart ending the term with an easy-read novel study. He decided that he severely overestimated the attention span of a nearly-exans university student and will henceforth end the English year with haiku's. Smart man ( Read more... )

Kristen, that's up to you, .. no poll can tell YOU what YOU want to do. as for long distance relationships, personally i've been in a couple of them and they haven't worked out. If you both actually love each other than it shouldn't be a problem. Once again, it's your decision, If i was in your position, i would not hesitate, I'd probably already have a list of things that i was going to take, and half of it packed. That said, your situation may be and is a lot different than mine.

If you both actually love each other than it shouldn't be a problem.

That's bullshit. "Actual love" doesn't necessarily mean that the relationship can stand up to the kind of pressure that not seeing each other for a year, or seeing each other maybe once or twice a year. Especially a fledgling relationship that hasn't hardly had a chance to get started.

So how would you be able to work in Scotland? BC I'm going to Europe this summer, and I want to able to get a job possibly. Don't you need a work visa?

There's a british embassy office, but I've lost the website. Call 1800-ocanada and tell them you're looking to get a UK work visa.
