So Thanksgiving turned out to be pretty good after all. I didn't go home or anything like it seemed everyone else on campus did. Rather, I went with Richard and Marcy to Debbie's parents' house and had an awesome dinner and filipino food. We actually ended up watching Advent Children (via Debbie's older brother) and Madagascar (via Debbie's nephew). And that was Thanksgiving Day in a nutshell.
Friday-Sunday/Monday of Thanksgiving weekend was spent working on Nathan's thesis film. It turned out to be an intense amount of work, but well worth it. It was shot underwater which meant we had to build an underwater set, run electricity and lights underwater, deal with a 30' Fisher crane and move quick.
I was Best Boy Electric/ 2nd AC/ film loader because we were slightly low on crew and it was pretty hectic. This was not really a set that was able to freely spare anyone. But we pulled through quite well, the film looks beautiful and I had Richard, Adam and Alex to keep me entertained.
Sunday was a killer though. It started at 4 PM and ended at 6AM...but we shot in Long Beach, so we had to come back to campus and unload the trucks. Yes...trucks. Nate had 3 trucks of equipment! LOL. Anyway, my Sunday ran into Monday since I had to be up at 8 anyway...so Richard and I just had breakfast at IHOP and started our day without rest.
I ended up crashing around 8PM and waking up at 11AM. It was awesome.
(I love you)
