the rules of attraction

"You'll never know me."
I skipped a few things let's

I'm pretty bad at explaining the good things that take place, but AX in Anaheim with Jogreen_rose, Kimbokimbolina, Hitomih_wingheart, Brownie, Chellchellchan and her sister and spending Fourth of July back home on the Marina with kimbolina and my cousin were both great. AX was lively as usual and I had the best view of fireworks (aside from Disneyland) I've ever seen. And I didn't even have to leave my balcony.

Then I saw the midnight screening of PC2 at the El Capitan in Hollywood. We were late and were forced to sit in the VIP section. Pity. It was a good thrill, especially the pre-show. The story was a little lacking, but Jo puts it best saying that it was a great "popcorn movie." And Johnny Depp...'nough said, really. He makes the cake.
!

And so that brings me to today. I just finished reading Rules of Attraction by Bret Easton Ellis. It's terribly sexy, depressing and heartbreaking. And it ends mid-sentence. Frustrating, but oddly satisfying. It's been reviewed as a story signifying the death of romance and I will undeniably adhere to that. It's a Romantic's worst nightmare brought to life. But I thoroughly enjoyed it. Partially because I'm fascinated with the minds of lovers, partially because I was able to live vicariously through them and partially because it scared me to my wit's end, me being slightly masochistic and all.

Tomorrow I'm going to start reading the .HACK manga and the Speaker For the Dead novel from the Ender series. Oh, the adventure!
