I've generally not been a fan of this trope because I really don't like Kurt being vilified as so many of those fics do just for the sake of angst for Blaine, but I like the way you've gone about it so far. Kurt's not nice to Blaine (well, not to his face), but he's not particularly mean or any kind of a bully either and I like that there's much more going on behind the scenes there. Given the timeline, maybe Burt's heart attack and that bringing down Kurt's grades and making him antsy about Blaine going to his house? Whatever it is, it's nicely done to have some antagonism between Kurt and Blaine without it being so over the top that it sours them being together.

I like what you're doing with Blaine too, I like Mike being his friend and how Rachel and Mercedes are trying but it's just a matter of trying to get used to things in a new environment and realistic chemistry rather than everybody randomly hating Blaine or vice versa. I'm looking forward to more.

I'm trying very hard to approach this fic in a way that to me feels true and possible within canon--if these character's lives had taken just slightly different turns, how could it all have turned out? All will of course be revealed in time, and it's been so fun plotting this fic and having fun with the trope. I'm so glad you're enjoying it! More soon! <3

haahaa! love that Blaine puts the gel in first and then proceeds to sort of freak about the possibility of it being tampered with! lol lucky boy it wasn't bleach or nair!
