She had been resting, finding herself tired in the afternoons if she did not. Sure it was a side-effect of the pregnancy Teyla had asked Lily about it and been told that it was perfectly normal, and to not go against what her body told her.
Still, it was a mostly sleepless rest - spent wondering what Rodney and Carson would find in the databanks behind her hut. She was glad enough for the knock, tugging a shirt back on before answering the door. "John, hello. It is good to see you."
"Hey," John grinned. It gave way to a look that was almost apologetic when he realized he might have woken Teyla. "I didn't wake you, did I? Because," he turned a little and gestured to where Cash was herding not-Evel over their way, "I've got someone who wants to meet you."
"I was not sleeping, only lying down," she reassured him, stepping out of her door to see what he was motioning to. The puppy Cash was herding looked too small for his paws; full of energy and very nearly bouncing as he sniffed and explored his way over. "He is adorable," the fondness crept into her voice already, "I had no idea he would be so large already."
John couldn't help the near-pride that crept into his smile. "Yeah, well, Cash is his dad, so he'll get pretty big." He scooped the puppy up once he was close enough, and held him out for Teyla to take.
"Teyla, meet Evel. You can name him something else," he assured, "I just called him that so he wasn't just 'the puppy'."
