Jack's home!

So, surgery went well, and he's very awake today. He has a fabric Cone of Shame to wear while I can't directly supervise him. (I just put it on him after it came off in the hamper, and he seemed to be okay with me putting it on him.) I have meds to give him, and I'm supposed to have a one-week followup which can be over the phone if everything ( Read more... )

I am so glad to hear he's okay!

Me, I have a very arthritic nearly 15 year old girl, Nabiki, who requires steps. I found a cheapo set at a craft store--assemble yourself in about 10 minutes, and also just a regular low stepladder you can find at any hardware store. Biki uses both. It took her a week or so to get used to it, especially with the younger cats still jumping, but she's all set now.

Best of luck for his speedy and complete recovery!!

Part of my problem is that these are for higher places... The sink in the bathroom (and there's no space to add steps, there's barely enough room to walk already), and then going from a bedside table to the top of a bookcase where they can look out the high windows. I have steps going up to the master bed for him, set those up last week...

I'm glad Nabiki is happy using hers. :)

Thank you! Vet has high hopes--he's comfortable and was a lot more awake for them than they normally see right after surgery. LOL
