So, surgery went well, and he's very awake today. He has a fabric Cone of Shame to wear while I can't directly supervise him. (I just put it on him after it came off in the hamper, and he seemed to be okay with me putting it on him.) I have meds to give him, and I'm supposed to have a one-week followup which can be over the phone if everything

Me, I have a very arthritic nearly 15 year old girl, Nabiki, who requires steps. I found a cheapo set at a craft store--assemble yourself in about 10 minutes, and also just a regular low stepladder you can find at any hardware store. Biki uses both. It took her a week or so to get used to it, especially with the younger cats still jumping, but she's all set now.

Thank you! Vet has high hopes--he's comfortable and was a lot more awake for them than they normally see right after surgery. LOL
