i'm crazy over you
It's Sungjong's 27th birthday and he expects nothing at all. He wakes up alone to an empty apartment full dreams and wishes that he wishes that it could of been. The room is cold and foggy and he can't remember how old he was for a second until he realizes that he just hit 27. He can't remember feeling happy ever on his birthday. The last time was when he was 24, celebrating it with his friends. With his group members, who he hasn't seen in what feels like forever. An infinite amount of time and he laughs at himself for that lame joke.
I miss you (bogoshipda)
But he really hasn't seen them in forever. Military service. They've all left, one by one. Of course most of them have completed it. Howon, Dongwoo and Sunggyu, Myungsoo and him but he hasn't seem them in forever. They've made that promise. They won't see each other until WooHyun and Sungyeol finish.
We'll be reunited soon
He misses them more than he'll ever let on. It's that type of yearning for his friends that tugs at his heartstrings and makes him take out his box of memories and awards and trophies. He misses the days when they'd all crowd together and roll around on the floor and sing off-key and on-key with a mess of jumbling voices and different tones and pitches all harmonizing together. When they used to cook bad ramen and sing their own songs at karaoke because they were that important.
But above all, he misses Woohyun. He misses the days where Woohyun and him would run off after practices late at night and play in the sandbox with their hair all mussed up and unkempt. They'd sit together and look at the stars. Sungjong still remembers what Woohyun always whispered to him.
You're the brightest star of them all.
He remembers the times they'd kiss and he'd feel butterflies creeping up from his toes to his ears. He wonders when Woohyun comes back, would he still make his ears red and his tummy full of butterflies or was he more mature now. Probably, he'd still feel the same butterflies. Woohyun's touches were magical and warm. They felt like sunshine, home and happiness.
I love yous were murmured on his lips.
He remembers how Woohyun would creep up behind him and give him enveloping hugs that would make him forget everything, the world, time and even how to breathe because Woohyun meant all of those.
Can we stop time?
He misses how Woohyun would serenade him softly on nights he had bad dreams. He'd remember falling asleep right away, holding with him holding his hands tightly and breathing in the smell of flowers and cologne and that special scent that no one else had. (It was his favourite smell in the world). He still has bad dreams occasionally but when he does, all he has to do was find that CD that Woohyun made for him before he left.
I can’t breathe anymore because you’re not by my side
He misses Woohyun a lot more than he lets on. On days he's sick, he yearns for someone to take care of him the way Woohyun would. But he's learned to be independant now. He wasn't a child anymore. (But Woohyun's kisses were the best medicine).
When you get better, let's go to lotte world.
But he's 27 now. And there's only a few more months left till Woohyun comes back. He'll just wait patiently. He'll lounge around in his cold apartment full of empty wishes and dreams that could of been, working hard because when he turns 28, his apartment will be warm full of wishes and dreams that he completed with Woohyun
Welcome home.
