In the midst of all this gay hoopla or "to do" about prom, I'd like to talk about something completely different. This may be because quite frankly I couldn't care less where prom is. Sometimes...its not what you know or what you don't know... Its watching the actions of other people and laughing outloud because you know that they just made themselves look bad. Sometimes people get too proud to notice the little details...too proud to listen to the other side of the argument. Trust me I didn't have to go to the meeting to hear the debate. With what I did hear, it sounded like a damn good argument for both sides. That's why I'm sittin on the fence on this one. There's a lot in favor and there's a lot not in favor. The sad reality is, We won't know what happens until it does. No one can predict the future. We won't know how many kids plan on going to prom and how many of them either won't have the money or their parents won't let them because of its location. Granted, Detroit is NOT that bad. What it comes down to is the actions of the students... If you're stupid in detroit you're gonna learn good ol thug justice. SO should the burbs stay in the burbs? Are kids gonna know how to act? The answer is none of the above ( ... )

Its HS, people talk dude. You wanna be a sucker because of "what you hear". Its sad.

And also, since you are so uninformed. The decision is up to the students so don't act like you know from what "you hear"

LASTly, dont be a righteous Senior, ALOT ALOT of schools have Jr/Sr. Proms and last year only 180 SENIORS out of 400 went (the rest were UNDERCLASSMEN or guests),so please don't act like you know.

And I KNOW no hard work gets apperciated, but I expected more from someone like you.

honestly...i dont want to start anything, because you know i love you mike, but here's the thing

the only reason we are making this a big deal, is because the parents are making it a big deal. and if both sides would stfu like u say, then prom would honestly end up in a freaking barn. for us to have a nice, enjoyable prom, someone has to do and say something, and that is what is happening. and in the end, you say you dont care where it is, but then you will walk into prom that night going, wow this is amazing. and everyone will care then.

and fyi, no she did not deserve it. it was a pussy ass move for a parent to target a 17 year old girl...if she had beef with her, then take it out on her in her own time. not in front of the freakin world, her teachers, and principal for that matter.

i missed os much today
idk, most of the people that was in support of having prom @ roostertail weren't there to hardcore root for having it roostertail. but we definately didn't feel a change of location was needed.
perhaps it is
personally, i hope its not changed to pennas
but really it's not a major deal
but i hope you aren't telling people like me, safia, matt or cumby to STFU because i dont think we were out of place trying to support having prom there.
i agree its not the grammys.
but i guess if no one cares about it we might as well as nix the idea.
