you wonder why i'm more eccentric and weird and stupid when i'm there than when i am outside of work.. it's the only way i can deal with all the new ops managers, and new agents who have had their jobs fed to them with all of their lack of faith in anything related to the duty team. our jobs have gotten more meaningless now that we're doing more than ever before. rant with us cam, we've all done it about that place in our jounals once (and me, alot).
I can understand where you're coming from Cam - I think it's sign that we're growing up :( That makes me sad. But do what you got to do. If you need to go away for a while then we'll all understand (as long as you keep in touch *shakes fist*). If you decide to shave your head, grow a long beard and wear golf clothes all the time - then we'll understand that as well. Change is good even if it is really really hard. Only you will know when you're ready to put your life in a different direction. I wish you all the luck! :) Just remember that your friends are always there for you even if you don't see them as much as in the past! :) Love ya Cam!

I shaved my head out of frustration for a stagnant, unhappy life! Then a year later a grew a really long beard, again, to "stick it to the man". But I don't think I've worn golf clothes all the time, otherwise I would've sworn you were talking about me!
Well Cam... all I can say is I know how you feel. Countless times I've thought of leaving Winnipeg, not because I don't like my friends, but because things just seem to be in a rut and ready for a change. I've even applied (unsuccessfully) for jobs in other provinces and into the U.S. Who knows, if I had garnered interest due to those applications, I may have left by now.
I think that's why, despite my money hesitations which (because I'm trying to finally be responsible with my money) are causing me to not 100% commit, I'm so excited about Vegas. Even if for only a week, trips like that are a good refresher. Sometimes you don't know what you got 'til it's gone, or more accurately in this case, 'til you're gone.
And you didn't waste anyone's time (at least anyone important), that's for sure.
