I need a new computer. Mine is dying. It freezes quite randomly and can't seem to establish secure connections anymore... or run heavy programs... or open some internet sites....or function in general

I'm not particularly passionate about the issue at stake, but just for your information my Gateway is wonderful, handles games, pictures, and videos very well, has four hours of battery, a humongous IMAX-like screen, is NOT heavy, and was not too expensive. No complaints. I suggest researching it in any case.
And though I generally ABHOR Macs, the Alcorns do swear by them for all of their graphics work. Still, I'm not bent on upholding this support because macs just make no sense to me.
To quote my favorite computer genius, "All computers are trash." And Peter is right, all computers are junky, trashy, horrendous machines that will undoubtedly make our lives more stressful and far more annoying. Every computer will crash. Ever computer will fail. Every computer will die.
With that said, they are also beautiful, helpful, creatures that can fill our lives with numerous moments of joy and composure.
You simply need purchase the product that speaks to you. The product that lends itself to your lifestyle. Everyone has their own lifestyle. Every computer out there is hated, every computer out there is loved (with the exception of Compaq... I don't think anyone likes them anymore).
Just go with your heart... just go with your heart. I, for one, could never see myself owning another PC for the rest of my life... but that's just me. That is just what my heart tells me... and I'm afraid I may be on the verge of cardiac arrest.
