This reading thing... October 13th

This reading thing takes longer than I thought. If I can get going and no one distracts me, I can get through fifty pages in a sitting. But then someone comes along and something happens and I end up putting down the book and then I lose track of time and then it's time for class or bed. Class is ruining my educational activities!

I've just returned Voyages with Vampires and Blood Brothers. I finished both of them. It took time and effort, but by the end, I was going much faster as people had learned to leave me alone when I was reading. Mostly. I suspect the next books will not take nearly five weeks to finish.

Voyages with Vampires wasn't as good as Blood Brothers. I think I have a relatively good grasp on that community law thing, though. Voyages wasn't very helpful because it was all about killing vampires and I don't want to kill them, I want to get them human rights. Maybe I should look for a book on curing whatever was wrong with the vampire in Voyages? Blood Brothers was very helpful. Vampires have a sense of honour. I didn't know that before. And that's very helpful to the case we're putting forward, I suspect.

So yes. I can read. And it would go faster if people shut up and left me alone. I need more books now. And I need to sit down with Granger at some point in the next couple of weeks to discuss.

The business is starting to get off the ground. We've done a few tasks for people and word of mouth is going well. We've got other jobs upcoming.

There seems to have been a flurry of pranking lately. I don't know how, but it seems a lot of people in the school have learned to prank much better since last year. And it's definitely not me and Sirius doing it, because everyone keeps confessing when confronted. I wonder what's going on?

Fortunately, pranking fellow Marauders doesn't count as rule-breaking, or I would have exploded by now. Though, I think poor Peter needs a break. I'll have to think of something to prank Remus with.
