Lovino was sitting next to the fountain. In his hand, he was still holding Antonio's letter.
It had taken him more than one day before finally gathering all his courage and leave that short note under Toni's door. He had not left his room in the meanwhile, if there had been classes, he would have skipped all of them.
Dammit, what was that letter for

"You're going to catch a cold," he said, taking a seat down next to him. He smiled brightly, any somberness or seriousness that he may have needed to write up the letter completely gone. He was as cheerful as ever, as if he just so happened to find Lovino sitting outside on his way to class. "Good morning," he chimed.

Now, he had no idea about what to do, what if Antonio just...
But Antonio looked like nothing had happened. Lovino couldn't help but staring at him, while he sat down, wondering if the whole story hadn't really been just a stupid joke made up by someone else (read: Antonio's idiot friends).
"It's anything but good, you moron!" He rummaged in his pockets and took out the paper with the letter, now all wrinkled, as if he had spent the whole time holding it in his hands.

"Oh, you got my letter," he said, as if it were a simple 'oh, you returned my phone call'. His lips twitched, and his shoulder slumped. "What about it? I believe it was pretty self-explanatory."

He cupped the other's cheek tenderly. "You'll get your money's worth," he teased, even the corners of his eyes smiling. Before Lovino could react angrily or with annoyance, he had leaned forward and kissed him. Patience was the name of the game now, and the Spaniard first left a tiny peck on his forehead. Next followed the tip of his nose.
Finally, he reclaimed the Italian's lips, closing the small distance between them. It was much deeper than before, less chaste, and the Spaniard's confidence had obviously returned.

Lovino could feel that Antonio had regained his self-confidence, but he didn't mind at all. He was still nervous and somehow confused - especially by himself, he had never thought he would ever reach the point of shouting "I like you" to Antonio's face - and more than glad, for once, to leave the initiative to the other boy.
He found himself kissing back shyly, slowly tasting Antonio's lips, thrilled and together reassured by that contact. He had always thought that kissing people on their mouth was gross, and now he was almost surprised to find that he liked it, instead.

He pulled away reluctantly after a few moments, resting his hand on Lovino's cheek. Was he dreaming? He had to be dreaming.

He looked up at Antonio, and immediately down again.
"D-don't look at me that way, jerk. It's creepy."
Now both his hands were laced behind Antonio's back, and Lovino was leaning against his chest.
