What is "teaching to the test"?
Are you familliar with Yale's style of testless education? Tailored to each indivduals interests?

Teaching to the test basically means only teaching what is tested. It's detrimental if what is de-emphasized is important (e.g. creativity).

I haven't heard of Yale's style of 'testless education'. I assume you're referring to Yale in New Haven?

Yes the university, I think its in new haven. From what I havew heard they have a system of education with out tests, the coursework and ciriculum of the student is a four year accumulation of individualized work, studying what the students/teachers choose.

Quite a different system from most school, that like you say, primarilly teach material to be tested on, or answer a preset group of questions.

I actually do believe that geniuses are made, not born either. However at the end of the day..dilligence is still the most important of all.
