the first time i ever drove (without sitting on my daddy's lap) was with these two lifeguards i met who worked at the beach in my grandma's town. they had an old jeep- one with no doors, no top, and a nasty clutch. well they picked me up and brought me to this amazing private beach one day and on the way back, they let me drive all the way home. i stalled it half the way, and then when i finally got up to third gear, i was going so fast that i was having trouble steering on these windy back roads that i hit a pedestrian running with my side mirror. i was so scared i kept going.
I was driving today and I'm going 50 and the light is green and it turns yellow and I'm not intending to stop and my mom says "stop please!" but I wouldn't have made it, but i took my foot off the gas. and I ran a red light. like, really badly.
not as bad as your story though. i'm glad you're safe though
a few weeks ago, i was talking to zach about running red lights and he told me that he always runs them because they always turn red right before he drives into the intersection. then i asked him if he knew what a yellow light means and he didn't know. so i told him and he goes: "ohhh!!!" until this day, i still don't know if he was really that stupid or just pretending. (he seemed pretty serious.)
i'm not only crazy, but i have a "lead-foot", according to my parents. i don't mean to, i just have a very competative edge to my personality and i like to WIN, so it gets under my skin when cars start to pass me or get right up on my tail.
i hope you had more fun than i did. "vacations" involving long amounts of travel time being stuck in an enclosed area with my immediate family usually ruins the trip for me.
that was an awsome story haha...your lucky though my mom once yelled at my sister when she was pulling in so she got scared and ramed the car into the house, and the house was in pieces
