My sweet kitty Ogre, best cat ever, is no more. Damn..its the first time I've really gone through this. It sucks big. Meanwhile Q cat looks confused...keeps looking around the room for him. I hope she adjusts okay.
Well the only way to do that would have been to take her to the vet too, and she's never been since I had her...it probably freak her the heck out. She's pretty easily freaked out. Anyway it was all I could do to get Ogre there, and then not grab him and run once I got to the room.
Q is doing okay at the moment. I loved her up and now she's sleeping on the couch. She is a bit dim sometimes, and that might actually work to her advantage.
I'm thinking of taking her in in January just to make sure she's all systems go.
I had two cats in undergrad; one had the equivalent of a stroke and had to be put down. She was my heart and soul, and I wasn't right for weeks.
Anyhow!
The other cat was confused for a few days, then became the most affable, loquacious cat I've ever encountered. He oozed love. So, maybe some of the love she gave the other cat she'll transfer onto you!
Yeah that's kind of how it is..I wouldn't quite say Ogre was my heart and soul but..he always sorta felt like a "someone"..like a little person or at very least a dog. Just more "there" than a lot of cats somehow. I like that picture I posted in the next post up, because it kind of shows that, I think.
Q has always been pretty affectionate, and head butts and tries to sit on my lap a lot. Hehee, when we got her they said "oh she'll probably never be a lapcat" but she changed sooo much once there was no longer a holy terror about (Ogre's brother) and she and Ogre always curled up together. Now I just need to find a way to clip her claws..I so suck at that. Every time they pull their little paws away I let go, even if I tell myself I won't.

Q also likes to sit up on you and curl around your neck all in your hair and kneed. The way she is now she'd be leaving puncture wounds.
I don't care about the back ones.
