So, only 3 (?) 2 (I looked it up, it's 15 days!) weeks until Brisingr comes out. And after the 'wtf' style ending of Eldest, I'm a LITTLE nervous, but I'm mostly excited. I almost squealed out loud at the bookstore when I saw it in the Coming Soon because I'm a bad fan and don't check up on these things.

I really loved Eragon, but Eldest is by far better. A rare feat in a sequel, but that fits into the fantasy realm. I mean, HP? Better as it goes. LOTR? DEFINITELY better as it goes (though wordier...much wordier). So I want to believe Paolini, who is very much into those books plus others, will follow the trend. But he could go the path of Elizabeth Haydn and get worse. I dunno.

I'm not nervous the book's going to suck, though, actually. I'm more worried about the plot. I should reread Eldest once I finish Rhett Butler's People (more on that later, I'm sure), or if I'm feeling daring, reread both. I don't want to miss anything! And we all know that in fantasy books (or most series in general), the tiniest detail can make all the difference. Especially if rumors hold true and he does two more, not one.

I'm prepared for a nail biter. Now that we know about Murtagh (*sob*) and the sword and Galbatorix and all, I'm really anxious about where this is going to go. Is there redemption in my beautiful beautiful Murtagh's future? Oooh, I do hope so. And what about Roran and Katrina? I can has hot hook-up? Probably not. AND DO WE GET THE ELF OR DO WE NOT GET THE ELF???? We get the elf, you KNOW we get the elf, she's hot, he's hot(ter) now.

Guh. I'm more excited than I thought I was. Hee.

And, in related news, Christopher Paolini is kind of hot, which makes me feel a bit pervy considering he's pretty young. BUT LEGAL! S'all I'm asking is legal.

Edit: Brilliant news--he's actually only a year younger than me! This makes me feel lame and a terrible writer, but there you have it
