When you've put off your reading assignment until the night before, it's always a quick pick-me-up to find the audio book on iTunes.  Not that I'm going to get a good night's sleep or anything, but I'm sure it will be better that what I would have gotten otherwise.

I forgot to mention that Brian started hiking the Appalachian Trail in Georgia on February 14.  He intends to go all the way to Maine.  My mom compiled a slightly emo slideshow of his departure.

I have finished keying out all my flies down to Family and entering the data in the computer.  The grand total of flies keyed comes to 30,073.  The number of Advils taken was not recorded, but it probably comes close to this number.

Also, I just got mooned.

After it snowed four inches in about an hour, I went outside with Nick and we walked around the practice field a couple of times.  We saw some people sliding down the bank on a trashcan lid (because who has a sled in Greensboro?) so we went over and watched them.  There is a fence at the bottom of the bank, and they were trying to slide through the ( Read more... )

Bitches.  There is a dense cloud of big ass snow flakes the size of quarters pouring down outside my window.  Further adding the kickassness of this, my room overlooks the playing field, so I get to watch it fall in front of the big stadium spotlights.  Snow hardly accumulates in Greensboro, but the field is rapidly getting covered.  I wish my ( Read more... )

My watch is fucked up.  It's been cutting off and and then coming back on and resetting itself to 12:00 for the past couple of days.  Now when it comes on, every little dash shows up.  Not that I had any sort of attachment to this particular watch, but it's always a pain in the ass to have to find a new one (changing the batteries would break the ( Read more... )

I finally finished keying out all my flies this evening. I haven't put all the data into the computer yet, but I'm sure that the total number exceeds 25,000. Now I have to start my lit search, do my statistics, and write a paper to be submitted to a scientific journal. When I asked my boss when she need the paper, she said, "Last week."

I know livejournal does not exist for this purpose, but I had to boast my latest "that's what she said" moment.  It was in response to, "Emma, are you going to play with that thing all day or are you going to eat it?!"

 Just thought you should know I'm watching an episode of the Magic School Bus right now.  They're trying to alter the course of an asteroid with a giant horseshoe magnet.  It's not working.
