attacks?

How come these so-called 'thwarted bomb plans' happen during our congressional elections? isn't that a coincidence? it's like cops planting drugs on suspects to have a reason to arrest them.

soon we will find out it was three teenagers who acquired a small amount of fertilizer and told their parents that they were going to blow things up if they weren't allowed to go to that concert..

now on the news they are saying passenters won't be allowed to take liquids and gels on board plans and have to pack them in their carry on luggage. Even though there is no proof that airlines consistently or safely scan checked baggage. they are going to play that seriously flawed 'security game' at the airports again. *sigh* what a circus

When I heard the news this morning, I wondered the same thing as you did, but I do think that this was the real deal. The date (9-9) works, at least. Not to mention that there's always an election going on somewhere, but it doesn't help that Lieberman conceded defeat yesterday.

You're right, though, that security is flawed. What if there's an al Qaeda guy working checked baggage for the airline? What if you can vouch for the fact that a prescription is yours, but you intend to use it as an explosive, anyway?

Hey, it's me again. I got the date wrong, but it still works. (07-08-09). That is all.

Isn't the 10th of August, 2006?

Okay, I'm an idiot today. But I do see Aaron's point. They could have arrested these guys any day, before the plan was well-advanced, but instead they waited until after the primaries.
