Ok, movie critique to the max time...
...
one of the worst movies i've seen in a while.
with the use of handheld, the whole movie was shot as though a 12-year-old stole a camera that looked cool from Target and decided to make a 9/11 film out of it. I think the format the movie was placed in was not optimal. although it was hollywood, it was not necessary to have handheld, especially with the movie being about Flight 93, it was most unnecessary to have the other parts of the movie in it. The movie could have been made to be shown for 1 hour and would have been just as good if not better. I believe the use of a steadycam or a crane would have been much more productive for the feeling and the sense of the movie to be more exuberant. if the use of the handheld turned this film more of a documentary it would have been better. the use of fast stock over slow stock and the lack of knowledge unknown of the people within the plane would have made it a much better movie.
Some things i DID like about it however was the intimacy that was involved throughout the scenes where the audience was actually in the flight 93 was definitely a high point. it allowed for an overcomming of emotion when the camera is set so close to the person next to the camera is crying while looking down talking on the phone telling their loved one how much they love them.
overall, i disliked the movie, believed it to be an insult to the memory of everyone who was in charge, involved, and affected by 9/11. got little eye watery but overall just a simple misery and NOT (i repeat NOT) worth any form of money to go see.
4/10 out of the eddric scale of doom.
