Amazon.com's recommendation system

So in my ongoing search for comfortable shoes, I've bought a pair of Keen mary jane shoes from Amazon.com. Apparently those shoes trigger Amazon's recommendation system in particular ways. Mine are a mixture of body building equipment, books on wine, Ukulele instructional DVDs, and Russian, French and Japanese Lit.

So obviously I'm a muscle-head who plays an ukulele while singing about drinking and reading symbolist literature.

Also, I suspect I am the only person in America who has both The Situation's abs book and Pasternak on their recommend page.

Mine deal with equestrian things, engineering, and (bizarrely) fertility treatments. Number one and two are dead-on. The only "fertility treatment" I'm interested in is getting my tubes tied.
