I try to be careful with topics like these - but politics are important to me....

And so is Ron Paul

Clicky-clicky for more.....  Just give it a chance, maybe you can see a benefit in this and push toward a better tomorrow for America.......  Since we seem to just keep moving toward social-capitalism....

I feel like we can only benefit from people like him and his opinions. It's a shame folks don't even hear about him, just about the big-wigs.

I'm pretty careful about politics, too, and religion. It's too easy to offend without meaning to.

My opinions are also not so widely-held

I have not heard of him.
I will check out your link tomorrow when I have more time to devote to it. But, see, your posting got to someone who it might benefit. :)

Mkay so I read one of the articles: Ron Paul's Speech At CPAC 2011, from 2/11/11.

I really liked:
- “Foreign aid is taking money from the poor people of a rich country and giving it to the rich people of a poor country.”
- The best way to get people to act more like us if we’re doing a good job, is for us to have a sound economy, a sound dollar, treat people decently, have a foreign policy that makes common sense, treat people like we want to be treated, and then maybe they would want to emulate us and say, “Freedom does work and we ought to try it.” But we can’t force it on other people.

These ideas don't sound Republican to me. Am I naive?

You are not naive. The basis of what the Democrats and Republicans were built on are no longer the case these days. It has changed and transformed.

It used to be the democrats were for a large government running the people. And the republicans were for a small government run by the people.

Ron Paul is considered a Libertarian now, but in the "old days" he fits the republican view. It's just said that the "main parties" have moved from their values into mud slinging bullshit.

I also like Mr. Paul.

If I moved anywhere, it would probably be Texas.

I adore him! I marched in protest with his campaign signs again the TTC deal Perry was trying to make.
