I cannot with seme/uke stereotypes. It drove me nuts in my last slash fandom. And I hate that when I list my fics as US/UK that it somehow means I've stereotyped their relationship a certain way. I wish there was a way to list it that read "I am writing them 100% balanced, no seme/uke stuff. Period" because that's the way I'd write it if I could.

As for the "human" names, I don't mind them being used in AUs, but outside that I don't personally use them at all. Unless it's for a "cover name" so to speak.

That all being said, I have a feeling that me and this Tumblr fanon you speak of would not get along well...

oh god... Tumblr is nuts. they take little things from the series as well as in-jokes and run with them. it must be fun when you're a part of it (it's like pchat 24/7), but to a newcomer it's just "what. why is England a snake?"
the problem with the ever-propagating tumblr is that memes don't die there, and eventually crack concepts are drawn by serious artists.

uke England also runs rampant. it's not pretty.

Somehow I'm glad I never got into Tumblr-ing. It's just too fast-paced, too much headache, and too much rabid fangirling. I follow this one user who used to post USUK pictures but now reblogs every single Benedict Cumberbatch, Johnlock, and pretty much anything BBC Sherlock that floats on Tumblr. I don't mind them since I like the show, but the person can be over-the-top sometimes.

You draw on MS Paint? That's awesome :O I've seen some really godly MS Paint artwork on dA, and it looks very hard to do.

Illogical Phobia? Mine is lizards. I've always been scared of them but, I didn't develop a phobia until a kid chased me in grade school with one. I've never ran faster than that day... xD;

crabs. not venereal parasites, the pinchy ones that skitter sideways and crunch sickeningly when you step on them. actually, you could probably broaden that to exoskeletons. fucking exoskeletons, man...
