I never understood why paper beat rock in that game. The way I saw it, I could throw a rock through pretty much any piece of paper. And if the rock's wet? Forget it. Maybe if it was Rock, Carbon-Based Paper, Scissors, but it's not. It's just plain old paper. Then I read this and finally put into words how I've felt all my life about Rock, Paper,

What "paper smothers rock" refers to is that paper makes rock feel emotionally trapped. Paper is clearly not giving rock the space that rock needs to grow as an individual.

Gun Gorilla Girl

Now try the same argument with the Gun Gorilla Girl version of this game. I understand you use a gun to kill a gorilla, a gorilla can tear the girl apart faster than (insert your smart-ass comparison here), but there is no way the girl can smile her way out of a gun pointed at her. Pedophile? Is it assumed that she's a little girl? What if she's a Marine SRT member? Then maybe should could disarm the gun wielder in a second, but still lose to a silverback...
