I picked up the IPOD mini(?) for like $150. While a bit more expensive, it is the only one that works with the little Nike add-on that tracks your run times, pace, distance, calories, etc. It also links up to Nike.com and tracks that shit for you in the long haul automatically. For serious runners while being a lil bulkier it does a nice job of combining your music (more than enough for a marathon) and a small tracking system. THe add-on is another $20. Don't be fooled, you dont have to have nike sneaks, just attach it with tape to normal shoelaces and it works fine.

Cheers!

I have a shuffle that I sometimes use for climbing. I like the fact that it's solid-state. I'm not sure what the new ones entail but I'm pleased with my older model for the few times I use it.
