There is no point of pushing our bodies faster then they are willing to go. It causes us to hurt ourselves more then we would have otherwise.

I've been cooped up for almost a month. And I just came to the other day. I'm through being patient. [He looks to his thumb, which leads his gaze to the scars on his hands, then to the cuffed sleeve that covers the damage this most recent event's done on his arm.]

[Mai doesn't say anything when she walks up, and is simply watching all of this transpire in person, rather than over the video. She has her arms folded, hidden in her billowy red sleeves.]

[She doesn't flinch when Jet hammers his thumb, but instead steps forward and picks up the hammer as it lands near her feet. She nudges it a bit with her foot before picking it up. It was damp--maybe from the snow--and warm. Not from the snow, clearly. Her eyes lift from the instrument up to the house, and she frowns further as she nears Jet tentatively.]
So you're looking to get sick and impaired. But might as well have a roof to do it under, huh? [She extends the hammer to him.]

Once he feels better about his composure, he turns on his heel and takes the hammer from her hand. His hold on it is very firm, as a way of mocking gratitude. Did she deserve it? No. But he really isn't in the best of moods.]
I'm not sick. [Because that's the point.] What're you doing here?
