So Mom is doing fine. She is still in the hospital, but the doctors say she doesn't appear to be in any real danger. It seems that her potassium level got very low, and that this causes major problems with people with heart beat conditions. As soon as I read potassium, my thought was, "A banana a day...". Then I kept reading. Amusing.

I am really glad your mom is okay. *Hugs* in the general direction of you and yours.

Just in case your mom doesn't like bananas:
OJ has about the same amount of potassium as bananas. Lima beans, almonds, and milk are also pretty good sources. The best potassium source I have found is potato skins. One small potato with the skin on it has twice the potassium of one banana.

I know this because potassium is important for people with high blood pressure also.

I'm really glad your mom is ok!
