question for the pet people out there...

today i met a potential new housemate and his beagle. i really liked them both a lot, seriously. a lot. and sharkey and the beagle, hunter, got along fantasticly. i probably would have just said that i wanted to offer them a spot in the appartment on meeting them today except for one thing... the beagle (approx 1 year old male) is not neutered

Is it possible he might want to breed the dog at some point?

it is possible. i really need to email him. i meant to ask but forgot in the short amount of time he was here while we were coordinating a somewhat chaotic meeting last night.
i know the dog has a fancy pedigree, so it is possible he would want to legitimatly show which requires being intact. to me that is one of the two valid reasons for keeping the dog intact.
