Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving has been bitter-sweet. The bitter was expected, but the sweet was surprising. For starters, I came home to discover that Dad had cleaned up the house. It sounds like your sister is a little like my mom. The best thing to do in regards to her is probably to leave her alone since she won't listen to anyone that disagrees with her. In fact, it would probably push her further in the direction you disagree with.
As far as getting your own house once you graduate, you should probably take a page out of your sister and brother's books and do whatever you want to do. I think that if they are the ones that want to keep the knick-knacks, then they should make their own room for them rather than use you as storage space. You are not responsible for that. Besides, it seems that once you graduate, your plans are not set in stone for long enough to warrant buying a house. That's a big commitment and to have your brother just throw that out there, he obviously wasn't thinking that through.
