Layoffs/Going Home

My company announced that it will lay off 49% of it's employees in a cost restructuring effort. I'm fairly certain I'm not getting laid off. For one thing, I'm not high enough on the corporate latter (salary-wise) to draw attention. However, if they want to eliminate people on the basis of importance, I have reason to worry. My great-grandmother used to walk a lot, too. It was actually pretty good for her health. Since she didn't get out of the house too much otherwise, it was good exercise. But if the area isn't very pedestrian friendly, I can see why you might worry.

Well, I hope you don't get laid off. Although, if you do, I know the job market out here is booming. I'm not sure if it applies to accounting jobs as well, but I imagine that it does.

Once again, I'm sorry to hear about your dad. I'm not really sure what to say about that. Hopefully, your going home will help him some.

I still need to call you...I'm actually a bit under the weather at the moment (sore throat, sinuses, etc.) and we're planning on going to Nathan's parents' house for the weekend. I will definitely try to get ahold of you within the next week, though.
