It's still Tuesday! It's still Tuesday!

First, meme:

51stcenturyfox asked for my computer posting area, which happens to be the couch. The brown couch. With brown cushions. Do you know how difficult it is to make a brown couch with brown cushions interesting? IT IS DIFFICULT LET ME TELL YOU.

lafemmedarla asked me for any part of the kitchen. This shot includes a water glass, the fruit bowl and the left-overs from the garden (which are left-overs no more for they have become belly-fillers instead). Incidentally, I hate that lamp.

libitina asked me for a picture of the bathroom organization system. I don't know about the "organization" or the "system" part, but here's the room in which I pee (most of the time).

myhappyface asked me for a picture of my favorite place outside. The following is from a visit from the Garden of the Gods, the very appropriately named city park in Colorado Springs. The bottom shot is the obligatory photo in which I pretend to hold up an enormous boulder. I mean, look at that bottom photo! I'm holding up a fucking boulder! Amazing!

I also loved the Garden of the Gods, because the rock formations reminded me of this:

No visions, though. Sad.

annakovsky and deora_mystic asked for a picture of my bed. Here is the bed, the white bed. With the white sheets. And the white pillows. And the white comforter. DO YOU KNOW HOW DIFFICULT, etc.

swmbo aske for a picture of the garden. Here's four! Because it was a wrench trying to pick a specific spot to focus on. In addition to the Mediterranean eggplant, summer squash, cherry tomatoes and bell peppers pictured, there are also: arugula (OMG SO MUCH ARUGULA), sage, oregano, basil, beefsteak tomatoes, jalapeños (OMG SO MANY JALAPENOS), Japanese eggplant, and Anaheim peppers.

jolielaide asked for a picture of my favorite shoes. The top portion is of the heels that I love wearing when I'm dancing or going out for dinner or when I just want to hear the demanding *click* against the pavement and the bottom portion is of the flip-flops that are adhered to the bottom of my feet during most of summer.

flaming_muse asked me for a photo of my favorite piece of art. I cheated a little here, but music is an Art, and this is definitely my favorite object in the apartment.

moireach asked for my favorite view out of the window, and at first I was going to take some shots of the park across the way, but, dude, I'm in MOTHERFUCKING BOULDER COLORADO. So, here is the view from one of my favorite running trails. In order to give you some sense of scale, I recruited the help of Action Figure Angel. Now, Dougal, Angel is very small, but the mountains are far away. Very small, but far away.

catechism asked for the coat closet, and god help me, I tried. But after the brown couch and the white bed, the closet was too much for me. So here are some items from the closet: the left panel is of (more!) shoes, and the right panel is a very, very, very, very close-up shot of the on-button for the vacuum. Heeeeeee.

And, now, because it is still Tuesday, dammit: swmbo and I are using Tuesdays to post about the most awesome of all things: food. Every week, we're going to take a picture of the best thing that we cooked that previous week and include a recipe, if used. This week, I present to you

01. Spicy-Citrusy-Herby Sweet Potato Salad

Oh, man. I want to nom these again and again. They were so good, I made them twice in two days.

Recipe (sort of, it's mostly bish-bosh-bam, so have fun with it!)

-sweet potatoes (about 1 pound), cubed
-cilantro, chopped
-Cholula or other sweet & spicy sauce, about 4-6 glugs
-scallions, chopped coarsely
-lime juice of almost one lime
-Greek yogurt, just enough to coat

Toss the sweet potatoes in a bit of olive oil, salt & pepper. Roast in 425 degree oven for 25 minutes, toss around again and put back in the oven for 10 more minutes or so, depending on how they're coming along. Once they're done, just throw all the other ingredients together and add the potatoes, mix just a few times to blend the flavors, and -- that's it!

WHEW.
