In other news, I managed to run 8 miles -- the longest distance I've ever run IN MY LIFE -- on Sunday, feeling strong and capable the whole way. The holy grail of running is double digits and I think I might be able to get there by early November. This is unbelievable to me. My life has changed so much in just a year; it makes my head spin sometimes.
Speaking of November,

eta: I don't know, I feel random --
.At the end of summer, I pickled a bit of the garden goods, mostly cucumbers and peppers. (...in a legitimately ridiculously series of comedic gaffes, due mostly to a complete lack of any of the following: (1) experience, (2) equipment or, (3) ability to hold boiled glass with my bare hands.) With much fanfare, we opened one jar of each veg last night, only to find that the cucumbers were way too salty and the peppers were way too hot. It's possible that I'll give them away as gag gifts or something, but the truth is that I'll probably end up eating them anyways, in the middle of the night, to ensure maximum tummy-ache induction. I'm hopeless.
.Netflix for TV is the best thing to have ever happened in the history of human existence. I added The Tudors to my Instant Play, but so far I'm pretty disappointed. I thought it was going to just be a bunch of really raunchy sex scenes, but there's all this stuff about politics and intrigue? Blah. Next in the queue to try: Friday Night Lights, Psych, and Slings and Arrows.
.To Yuletide or not to Yuletide, that is the question.
.Oh, hey, this is worth looking at:
Muslims Wearing Things helps dispel the myth that Muslims "look" a certain way. Bosnian Muslims! French Muslims! Tennis Player Muslims! Comedian Muslims! Goth Muslims! Rock Star Muslims! Ginger Muslims! It's my favorite thing right now.
