I haven't been able to decide, and I don't want to make a million accounts and then not use them. I'm following this post at deliciouslymad, a comm that catechism and murklin moderate. It looks like they might team up with someone who formerly worked at delicious and make a fan-directed clone? oh, please, please!
Omg, that would be amazing!!!! catechism is my go-to person whenever I need(ed) to hack delicious to make it do something it doesn't do, so I have a huge amount of confidence in her. Wow, that would be perfect.
I've saved the most important ones that I don't think I'd be able to find again without having saved it, but I'm following the mass exodus (for now) to diigo. My import hasn't finished yet, but I expected that. Have you heard about anything different/useful? And holy shit where did you find a Friends gif?! Amazing.
At first I was really panicked about losing years and years worth of bookmarks, but it looks like there are several options for importing them to another site or to a browser. The real loss is the browsing option. There just is no other site out there set up to let you tap easily into a cache of fic recommendations with attached notations and immediate transparency into how many other people have bookmarked that story and...augh. This is such a huge loss.
I've imported everything to pinboard.in so far. And I'm still waiting for Diigo to finish it's import (seeing that it took 12 hours to import 400 bookmarks does make me wonder, though. I've got 1900+). I was excited about pinboard at first but now that everything's in there I can't seem to find a way to edit tags. And no bundles. ugh.
I'm mostly just waiting to see which one most of fandom goes to and then I'll stick with that.
