I have just discovered that none of the three christian political parties in parliament (of which one is almost fundamentalist) denounces homosexuality. All three say they accept it is innate and unchangeable, and only one says it is against two men or two women having sex ( Read more... ) -

Our neighbour's son is married to Alexandra Pelosi, the daughter of the Minority Leader of the United States House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi.
They live in New York City, and my dad just heard that her husband asked his old folks for $300,000 so they could afford an appartment on FIFTH AVENUE. That's right. They need a third of a million ( Read more... ) -

After the Milosevic disaster, apparantly our government isn't keen on playing host to the trial of Liberian ex-dictator Charles Taylor unless he serves his prison sentence in another country, but neither Denmark, Sweden or Austria are willing to imprison him either.

It's hard to believe, but an Alabama City Council has voted to apologize to Rosa Parks and all the others who suffered from the Jim Crow laws and the other ridiculous segregation laws that were in place in the US until 1964 ( Read more... )
