Regi had left the building altogether and decided to walk off the anger, and hopefully distract himself from his problems for a while. He was living in a small city in the middle of Missouri, called Sedalia. This is where they held the State Fair, and usual gang fights would break out during this week celebration. During the off-season, it’s where they held equine competitions, and agricultural conventions, and activity of the infamous notice board picks up. This well known board contains notes from citizens complaining about other citizens that have weird quirks that annoy the note-taker. It’s quite a great laugh for other citizens. It also contained the usual subjects that a notice board would contain: Wanted Ads, Event Announcements, and Missing Pets. Regi was going to the board to read the passive aggressive notes to take off the pressure that was heavy on his shoulders. Luckily for him, the State Fair grounds was not far away. Walking towards the notice board, Regi walked pass the horse stalls, the conventions builds, the midway, and the pet zoo. It was near the ticket booth where tickets were sold for the Grand Stand events during the fair, like concerts and NASCAR racing.
Stepping forward to the board, a note had caught his eye. The note had read: LOOKING FOR REVENGE?. This had brought back up memories of the incident from moments before. His rage was building, but he read further on to distract such feelings: Then come to [Insert Address of Warehouse] and join our club of malevolent duties. Do not reveal to other that you are coming to such area. Suffer the appropriate consequences if area is revealed. Regi had read the note several times before understanding what it was implying. It was a rebellion club, such clubs that Angi was fighting against. He had a small thought of going to the warehouse, but then again, if Angi caught him there, he would be extracted from the group so fast that his neck would break from the whiplash.
Regi walked back to the hotel, stopped before entering, took a deep breath, and loitered around before entering. Looking around his surroundings, he saw a man at the curb, wearing suspicious clothing. A trench coat was draped over him, it was sleeveless and black. He had long spiky hair, about two inches long, and they were looking directly at him. With a weird look on his face, Regi staggered into the Hilton and sat down in a plush chair in the lobby. The people that walked by didn’t think his clothing was odd because they just assume that they were staff members, and that I was on my break. Regi was hesitant to go into the Angi headquarters because of what he might do if someone rubbed him the long way. He was never a violent person, but then again his girlfriend had never died in front of him before. He almost wanted to cry again, when he saw a couple walk by him with their hands held together and love in their eyes. He blinked a couple of times, to dry the sobs away, and stood up to walk towards the elevator. Regi promised himself that during this sad time, we would keep himself strong and try not to cross the line of insanity.
The elevator of the door opened, and he walked inside it. He pressed in the code, and waited to reach the floor. He had not noticed the other person in the elevator until halfway there. He quickly pressed random buttons and acted nonchalant in his actions. ***He turned around to face the stranger and made a fake smile. The man gave him an unpleasing look and shrugged the oddness away. Regi waited for the man to leave the elevator before pressing in the Angi Quarters code, once again. When the door opens once more, he let out a heavy sigh and walked to his room, closed the door, and collapsed onto his bed, exhausted by the stress.
He fell asleep, dreaming about Synthia in a wedding gown, mouthing ‘I do,’ to him. They were in a church; it was huge, filled with people, half of them he didn’t know. The preacher was reciting the vows for him, even though he was not paying attention. A moment later he was saying ‘I do,’ as well. The preacher said, ‘You may kiss the bride,’ and he leaned in for the kiss. It seemed like it lasted forever, but it ended moment later, with the audience clapping along to a great finale to what seemed to be an amazing wedding between two people in love.
I'm still sucking hard on this.
