Voting

I've been questioned on my politics recently by a number of people (my last post no doubt being a bit of a trigger -- I supposed I was asking for it). Sidestepping the politics, I found the following concept very interesting. As mentioned before, I think that party or election reform is desperately needed but I haven't had any concrete solutions. On a similar story, there was a lot of talk about instant run-off elections a couple years ago. As I recall, it lost a lot of traction because of doubt that elected officials would intentionally break the party system. Here's the link:

Glad you posted that; I think approval voting is a *much* cleaner and sensible system, not to mention easier to implement.

It does, on the other hand, have the virtue of fulfilling the majority criterion.
