I don't often write to this journal to get replies or feedback from people, often I mainly read other peoples journals and don't often comment. I tend to comment on darkfatihs posts more as I can relate to her ramblings the most as she is a film-maker like me ( Read more... )

Oh, music video... it's true it's a great gig to make money to pay the rent... a lot of my friends do it.

Personally, I'm kinda scared because I don't know anything about it and cinematography is never the priority to me so I would need a pretty darn good dp.

But I wanna see it as soon as you can put it online.

What did you shoot on and how long did it take? And how many location?

hey,

we shot it on two cameras. interiors on a DSR-500 and the exteriors on a PD170. Lens was a bit dirty though :-\

I had a good DoP, but thing is if you can edit and grade and you want to tell a story then great! I wanted to tell a story in my video so there's a little journey going on. I know what you mean about the DoP fear. I got lucky :)

We used a main location in a church hall for the band performing and then the story part of the shoot we shot throughout the city on the streets, on a bus, in a taxi, in tunnels, bridges and at famous glasgow landmarks.

You should try and have a go at doing a video sometime. I'm more interested in doing the videos to save up for a HVX :)
