Yes. Just don't use any of the cliche lines unless you actually mean it, ok? Like.. "It's not you, it's me". The truth hurts, but it's better than finding out later on that what was said is a lie.
Are you telling someone else to break up with their SO, or are you trying to break up with yours? Assuming the last, you could always start with the "we need to talk...", "i have something i need to tell you...", or simply "okay, so.. [i think we need to break up/see other people/take a break because]" then explain your reasoning (you do have reasons, right?).
yes, there is a good way. But it's only happened to me when niether of us were very emotionally involved. Basically, he never had time for me, so I suggested he make more time by not having a girlfriend anymore. He was agreeable, so it ended.
To broach the subject, I'd probably say something like, "Look, I can't keep doing this. Dating you. Because..." and insert the reason there. And "because your a crazy bitch" is NOT a good reason to say at first...even if it's the truth...
Most of my breakups have been over the phone or online, which is not a good idea. But if there is no other way to do it without one of you traveling for hours, be receptive to seeing her once after the breakup, even if you really don't want to. *coughwantedtostabchristophintheeyecough*
