Ficathon sign-ups

Welcome to the first fol_fiction ficathon! I hope everybody has fun with this, and I know we're all looking forward to a heap of new stories in 5 weeks' time. Please let me know if you need clarification on any of the following details, or if you have any other questions or comments.

SCHEDULE

• This sign-up post will be open until February 9. You have until then to come up with your prompts.
• I will email your assigned prompts to you on February 10.
• We will all post our stories on March 9.

SIGN-UP FORMAT

In a comment on this post, you must provide the following (see my own comment for an example):

• Your email address - if you aren't comfortable posting it, you can email it to me at dfelony@hotmail.com, or if you're a member of the chat, you can ask me to use the address you registered with.
• 2 Jo/Blair prompts - as general or as specific as you'd like.
• Squicks - anything you absolutely do not want the story written for you to contain (eg. graphic sex, character death).

RULES

• You will receive an email listing a recipient's username and 2 prompts. Choose one of the prompts and write a story based on it. (If you're inspired by both, feel free to write two stories. Or five or six. Up to you.)
• You must keep the details of your assignment confidential until posting day, although we make an exception for beta readers (see below).
• You are strongly encouraged to have your story beta-read. If you are looking for a beta, mention it in your signup post or email me. Same goes if you would like to volunteer to be a beta.
• The minimum length for stories is 700 words.
• If for some reason you won't be able to complete your assignment in time, please contact me so I can arrange a substitute.

Instructions for posting the stories will be given closer to the due date.
