I have no time for people who are convinced that Muslims are out to take over this country, or even the world by secretive machinations. It's all part of the smoke screen to keep people from finding out OUR plots to take over the world.

Seriously, though, I think in times of trouble (particularly the worldwide economic situation) people want some one or some thing to Blame. Once upon a time it was the Jews (over here, there is also a gay conspiracy! but you probably already know all about that). Now it is the Muslims. Are there Muslims that want to kill Westerners? Yes. But they are the minority, not the majority.
