Yes, but they finished their investigation and had nothing else to do. Taxpayers money is no different to say me having fun whilst on shift which is paid for by my company. I would hope my company would not sack me for not being a robot! I real waste of money would be if these coppers were at it all of the time and not actually doing anything else. They went on a zip wire for a space of ten minutes! My goodness, what a waste of my money!!!!

I have a feeling your company would find fault with you, say, riding a luggage trolley around the station in your uniform even if it was after your shift.

Riding around on a trolley is childish and dangerous. Now if a rock climbing wall was put up at my place of work for the fun of some passengers and I was on my tea break (which is still paid time) and I decided to have a go, my company would not have a problem with it.
