Hi! I'm trying to do a Johari Window of myself as an exercise to examine perceptions. I would love it if any of you who know me (or have met me, or have at least formed an impression of me online or something) would help me out. Basically, all you do is look at a list of adjectives and pick the five or six that you most strongly associate with me.

One is that I wanted "playful," and it wasn't on the list.
The other is that you have lots of attributes, and I kept feeling like pinning it down to just five or six was simplifying.
But cool.

I know--the first step was for me to select five or six, and I thought narrowing maybe eight or ten down to five or six felt pretty arbitrary and like the results wouldn't be quite right (not that I only have 8 or 10 attributes, but even picking "main" ones is tricky).
I do find it fascinating and illuminating so far, though. For example, there are at least two adjectives that have each been picked by more than one person and that I have found surprising because they're not how I view myself at all. There's a lot of food for thought here.

Incidentally, the three items that came up in "Facade" when I looked at it were all items I considered clicking on.
Of all the assessments we did, though, the Gallup Srength Finder actually turned out to be the most useful for leadership and business purposes. It has some really powerful stuff, which I've already found is also applicable in my personal life.

And yeah, those reports are bizarrely on point. I was further impressed when I saw the report it generated for someone else who showed the same 5 strengths as I did, and the report was surprisingly different, because it's generated by very specific things you put for each question. Apparently it takes something like 2.3 million people before you're likely to find someone else with exactly the same report as you.
And no problem - I think Johari Windows are fun for all involved.
