What I find odd about the complaining (and the head-in-sand trade protectionism reaction of some) is that this is nothing new. Since WWII this has happened several times with Japanese and to some extent Germans providing goods at far cheaper prices (ironicly with factories provided by Americans in many cases). And lately Mexican and Canadian interests have been said to be stealing jobs. Yet the American economy remains very strong. The only difference is that the service sector is starting to be affected and not just finished goods or raw material processing
