[ Good morning Luceti if you’re in town today, and probably in the surrounding areas as well, you’ll notice some large lumbering pure white figures walking about some might even be flying. No, no, they aren’t harmful in the least, although the creatures they take after might argue otherwise, and they are not yetis or other such things that come out ( Read more... )

I suppose that Inanna, one of the Devas, could count... [Considering Iria's water magic also formed things like Icicle and Ice Tornado.] But I wouldn't say we have any set affiliations. As for ice sculpture competitions... I read once that Tenos, a very snow country back home, has them -- or had them before the war started, but I don't know about Luceti.

[He'll listen for a few bars before interrupting.]

You have songs for it?

Oh yes! They're called carols. There's plenty of them...like, ah, Frosty the snowman! Or Rudolph the red nose reindeer.

Heheh... Frosty the Snowman. Because he's cold-- [Don't explain the joke, boy.] Rudolph's a weird name for a reindeer-- why does he have a red nose?

[ Helios chuckles. ] He has a magical top hat that makes him come to life, too.

As for Rudolph. I'm not sure, really. I suppose it's because he's the one to guide Santa's sleigh. When the night of Christmas eve is foggy. He essentially saves Christmas!

[Luca laughs a little, too. It all seemed so unreal--

probably because it was, but whatever.] Christmas sounds magical itself. We don't have anything like this back home, but it seems really fun. What else do you do? I'm guessing all the lights are for it, and giving gifts is a common practice from what I've read... Is there anything else?

[Please tell him about mistletoe]

Oh yes it is! Very magical and very heartwarming. Giving and receiving from family and friends. But even without the presents...it's a time to celebrate with the ones you care the most about and that's the most important magic about it.

As for anything else...well there is, um, mistletoe. [ Helios will tell you all about that Luca. Well in brief detail. ]

It's a, um, plant. That when you s-stand underneath it with someone you like you can um...kiss them. But only if you want! It's just a silly little tradition that most people who are together do.
