[ Good morning Luceti if you’re in town today, and probably in the surrounding areas as well, you’ll notice some large lumbering pure white figures walking about some might even be flying. No, no, they aren’t harmful in the least, although the creatures they take after might argue otherwise, and they are not yetis or other such things that come out ( Read more... )

Other than the Frost family, with Jack Frost as its most well known member, there's also Yuki Jyorou at the top of my head.

Ah Kouki it's been awhile, how have you been?

But, hm, Yuki Jyorou? I don't think I've ever heard of her before.

I'm doing fine, thanks.

She's a snow demon who generally lure travellers to their deaths.

Ah, wonderful. That's good to hear.

[ Oh my. Helios was afraid of that. ] Ah I-I see. A snow demon...I believe they're similar to the Yuki-onna myths as well. What about Jack Frost?

[Grune is absolutely fascinated. Of course she isn't all afraid of the snow creatures--in fact, she's already made a friend of a kitsune and is carefully petting it with a gloved hand.

They're all absolutely beautiful, and she's going to be so sad when the day ends and they stop moving about.

Say hello?]

[ Helios will say hello! He was just getting finished with making a few kodama when he spots Grune with that kitsune. Helios is glad that people are enjoying them so much!

That was the point and it's nice to know he can spread some cheer about with this. ] Ah Grune, hello! I see you've made a new friend.

[Grune looks up from her new friend to give a big smile to her old friend.]

Hello, Helios! Yes, I've made lots of friends. [And she's very obviously happy about it.] Have you?

Yes you could say I have. [ He nods to the several other kitsunes now coming over. ] They seem to like you.

[Pilouette is walking about, trying her best to enjoy the weather. While it certainly snowed back home, it was almost always cleared away before it could be enjoyed. Before long she comes upon...

A unicorn.

What.

It's like all her shiny LisaFrank folder dreams from second grade are happening. Well, with significantly less sparkles and rainbow puppies (i.e. none) but she's totally okay with that. She's still a little bewildered by it, so for now she's just staring at it, occasionally taking a cautious step or two towards it.]

[ Yes it is a unicorn and Helios will peek out from behind it and give a wave. ] Don't worry! It won't hurt you, they're perfectly docile.

[ And as if to exemplify this Helios will give the snowy beast a light pat on the side as he packs more snow on to it. Can't have them melting after all. ]

[She jumps, just a little startled. She didn't see Helios there! Since he says it's not dangerous, she approaches, albeit still a tentative. She's a bit surprised when she sees him packing that snow on to it.]

Wh-

Huh?! W-Wait, it's...it's made of snow?! But it's like, moving and stuff! Like, no way!

[Excuse her while she wigs out for a second.]

[ Helios smiles and nods, dusting his hands free of snow. ]

Yes! Pure, freshly fallen snow mythica. One hundred percent snow, and a little bit magic. [ Helios walks around to the other side where Pilouette is. The unicorn will shake its mane digging a snowy hoof into the ground as it turns to regard its creator and the new person he's talking to. ]

[It's just another typical afternoon of walking home from school for Roji...except for the fact that today he's run into a bunch of snow kitsunes.

For a second he thought his eyes were deceiving him. Animal spirits made out of snow suddenly dancing around him? Ridiculous.

Except in Luceti, nothing is impossible.

So now he's simply marveling at them, even offering to play with them. At least they're not trying to hurt him!]

[ And cue Helios walking by, being on break for the moment, smiling as he notes Roji and the kitsunes playing. It'll be a second before he makes his way over to the both of them.

Don't mind Helios grinning like a derp. ]

Enjoying yourself, Roji?

[Two can play at the "grinning like a derp" game!]

Hi, Mister Helios! [He nods as he pats one of the Kitsunes on the head.] Tons of fun. It's nice for something weird but pleasant to happen for once.

[ Helios will win this Roji! You cannot beat the Iron Derp! ] Kitsunes. They're rather playful despite the mythos about them. I'm glad to see people are enjoying and getting along fairly well with them.

[ Albeit there have been a few...mishaps. Helios smiles as one of them runs a full circle about his feet before going back to Roji. ]

I suppose that Inanna, one of the Devas, could count... [Considering Iria's water magic also formed things like Icicle and Ice Tornado.] But I wouldn't say we have any set affiliations. As for ice sculpture competitions... I read once that Tenos, a very snow country back home, has them -- or had them before the war started, but I don't know about Luceti.

Inanna? Interesting we have things called Devas back in my own world. Superhuman beings that live longer than the average human. And another belief is that they're deities that work in the favor of good people.

But I think a competition might nice for here. [ It'll at least help people take their mind off things, right? ]

In my world, they were gods who lived on Devaloka before it fell. The Sensus were working for the good of both Devaloka and Naraka, but... the other faction, the Ratio, didn't want anything to do with Naraka.

Ah, I think so too. We could have teams or something, since I think make a sculpture by yourself would be a little hard.

Devaloka. I assume that's some other worldly plane then? Beyond the spectrum of humans and such things, correct? [ He processes trying to make connections to other things on Earth. ] Ratio sound something like Asuras in my world. They're more like demons than the Devas and work against Devas usually. But, ah, what exactly is Naraka?

[ A pause. ] Yes it certainly would be. Most well made sculptures in my world take days to build and multiple people to help build them. Team work might prove very beneficial for people here, n-not that we need it. The village itself is pretty tight knit as it were. But having something light and fun to bring that out is never bad.
