[ Good afternoon Luceti. In the silence of this post you can hear the crinkling of a single sheet of paper. It is a lone letter, one from a man who is no longer in this world. You might also hear the whistling of water from a tea pot and the familiar sounds of someone preparing tea. A few moments later you will hear some banging coming from the ( Read more... )

[Frederic was in his room and heard Helios' entry, especially that loud bang sound and decides to come out soon after.]

Helios?! Are you all right?!

[He'll smile more and blush a little.] Oh it's not that impressive, Helios. But you're welcome, I only wish I could have gotten you the real Wawel Dragon.

Of course it is. A miniture Wawel Dragon isn't an easy spell to conjure. The real one! Ha! I doubt he'd like it very much here, and it wouldn't very well fit.

I've been practicing my spells from your manuscripts and books, I hope you don't mind.

[ He shake his head and looks back at the dragon with a small smile. ] No, not at all. Giles told you about our research did he not?

[He nods and looks at the dragon.] I've been practicing since our meeting at the battle dome.

Mm I want to continue our research, despite him not being here anymore. I'd like you to help with it as well...if you wouldn't mind.

[ Relieved sigh. ] That's good, yes, thank you Frederic. I'm glad to see you're onboard, it means a lot for you to accept.

How exactly should we continue the research?

Well there's a lot more to be done. I'm afraid I haven't made too much progress since Halloween ended. But for starters we were looking into sound cancellation spells. [ He will be tapping his finger on the table looking contently at the small dragon. ] Perhaps you'd be able to help, being musically inclined and all.

I've never worked with sound cancellation before, but I might be able to use my musical abilities to figure out something.

It's rather simple in theory. But preforming and making a spell to do so is proving to be rather difficult. I think your help would make it infinitely easier though.

Perhaps we may create a device that can attach itself to inside of a piano? Then from there, I can use mine or any piano as a way to control it using the stings of the piano to cause vibrations that will cancel out any other sounds except for the music of the piano.

That could potentially work. I was thinking more along the lines of using this though. [ He will pull out a silver ring with a blue sapphire in its center from his pocket. ] The Mirage Ring might be able to cancel out any and all sounds when the person is wearing it. We could try it on the piano to gauge how wide the effective area of sound cancellation can be at least.

If possible, could I wear the ring to see if anything happens? And if nothing happens when I wear the ring, we could put the ring inside of the piano if that will provide results.
