[The audio feed just opens with Bennett talking. His stammer is largely absent-- he's been freaking out a lot, and been working to counteract it, mostly with a LOT of sleep and a LOT of herbal teas. Really, though, that's not why he's stammering.

But, he has something to share with you all."Once upon a time, there was a little bird girl. She liked ( Read more... )

[OH RIGHT, IT'S YOU. Hello, Guy-He's-Not-Supposed-To-Be-Pining-For, how are you today? Nice to hear from you, Herz-Who-Bennett-Is-Supposed-To-Have-Given-Up-On. Bennett's fine, except for the heart-ache bleeding through what he likes to think is stoicism (it's not, he just REALLY likes to think it is).]

U-uh, well, well, uh.

G-god, I can barely remember all of them, uh...

[He wracks his brain, trying to think of a good starting point.]

Well, there was the story about the two of them and the cat boy... E-elizabeth has-- h-had, really, really cute stories. Big... she had a, a big, uh... imagination.

The, the best way, yeah.

[Pause.]

Iiii, I can't remember all of the cat boy story. Something about... the cat boy liked her so he used to pick on her, and... it was sort of similar to the firefly thing.

It was, was, uh. Just cute, mostly.

E-everyone always becomes friends in Elizabeth's stories. I, I like them more than the stuff I study.

folkloristlore November 13 2010, 19:25:02 UTC
N-nno. I, uh, up until a couple of months ago I wouldn't have even... thought, that, uh, anything like that would exist at home.

...Sorry.

[He feels kind of bad, though, seriously.]

Hey, Hikaru!

[There's a voice that brightens his day.]

Yeah, she, she did, she really did. You would've liked them, I, I think.

Yeah, I... I was kind of hoping.... I dunno, you know, sometimes when you read a story, it makes your day a little less awful? I was kinda, uh, going for that.

Normally those kinds of stories have, um, disciplinary endings. It's nice to hear something... different.

Did you have very many siblings?

....Yeeeah, we, uh, saw our fair share of discipline in the Marrow household. I don't think she wanted that kind of story.

But, uh, yeeeah? I mean, yes. I have siblings. I have lots-- well, I mean, uh, more than the average guy? My older brother, two younger twin brothers, and Elizabeth, the baby of the family.
