[What the fuck is going on in Bennett's head right now? He'd really like to know. He just ran off after confronting Tanvir after smelling some other guy on him-- and really? [Reeking of his kiss with Tan--at least by Ben's standards--Herz knocks on the werewolf's door.

He's not sure what he really...plans to say to Ben, just that he needs to continue his role as the peace maker. If he can prevent another fight, at least for a couple more weeks, that'll be good enough for him.

Somehow, he doesn't see them ever resolving this...ridiculous rivalry, but he can hope.]

[Beyond the door there's a flutter of pages and a rustle of bed sheets and a soft WHUMP as Bennett fumbles with his journal and it smacks into the ground.

He does not want to have this conversation. He's not a princess, really, he doesn't need the coddling, he's really used to dealing with his issues completely by himself. Sure, they never sort themselves out, but hey.]

[Bennett scrambles to his feet, gathering up the book from the floor, throwing it behind him on the bed.

And, almost before he gets the breath all the way in his lungs to speak, he's apologizing.]

I'm, I'm sorry, Herz, you shouldn't have had to find out that way, I'm sorry, that was... that was stupid of me, I... I don't, um, I'm, I'm sorry.

[And it all spills out in such a slosh, he's not entirely sure if he spoke English through the whole sentence.]
